00:00:25
Speaker 1: preview of this very special episode. Missus Bloomington, the big
00:00:38
Speaker 1: fuzzy yellow and black bumblebee who runs the Kooka barrik
00:00:42
Speaker 1: Indy in the heart of Sleepy Forest yawned and stretched
00:00:46
Speaker 1: her way into the morning. She buzzed her way into
00:00:50
Speaker 1: the bathroom, then buzzed her way downstairs and into the kitchen,
00:00:55
Speaker 1: and buzzed her way through a giant bowl of nectar
00:00:58
Speaker 1: sprinkled with a delicate pollen of honeysuckle flowers. Missus Bloomington
00:01:04
Speaker 1: picked up her satchel, checked that she had all her
00:01:08
Speaker 1: notes for the day's classes, kissed mister Bloomington on his
00:01:12
Speaker 1: fuzzy yellow and black cheek, and then buzzed off to
00:01:15
Speaker 1: school as she flew along the lanes, taking care, of course,
00:01:20
Speaker 1: to stop traffic lights. Just because one can fly doesn't
00:01:24
Speaker 1: mean one can break the rules of the road. She
00:01:27
Speaker 1: thought about the faces of all the children she'd see
00:01:30
Speaker 1: that day. She just knew they'd light up when she
00:01:34
Speaker 1: told them what the day's lessons would be about. And
00:01:37
Speaker 1: she had a little buzzing chuckle to herself as she
00:01:40
Speaker 1: thought of the secret she had slipped up her sleeve.
00:01:45
Speaker 1: At the same time, as Missus Bloomington was buzzing and
00:01:47
Speaker 1: stretching her way into the day, so was Cuddle the Puggle.
00:01:52
Speaker 1: She sat in her bed and wiggled her little otter
00:01:55
Speaker 1: like feet and smiled to herself as she shook her
00:01:58
Speaker 1: beaver like tail. She poured back the curtain she could
00:02:02
Speaker 1: reach from her bed and looked out at the sunshiny
00:02:06
Speaker 1: blue sky, white puffy clouds day that was happening outside.
00:02:11
Speaker 1: She jumped up and dashed to the bathroom, only to
00:02:14
Speaker 1: see her sister Snuggle already lining up outside the door,
00:02:18
Speaker 1: waiting for their brother Huggle to hurry up inside. Cuddle
00:02:22
Speaker 1: hopped from foot to foot, wishing for a moment that
00:02:25
Speaker 1: platypusses didn't love water quite so much, as maybe they
00:02:29
Speaker 1: would all have much shorter showers. When she'd finally had
00:02:34
Speaker 1: her turn, she slid down the banister and landed with
00:02:38
Speaker 1: a thud and a bump. In the kitchen, Cuddles's mother
00:02:42
Speaker 1: handed her a bowl of starfruit, the thick star shaped
00:02:46
Speaker 1: slices shining up at her and glistening with big dollops
00:02:50
Speaker 1: of honey, and Cuddle wolfed them down in one, two
00:02:55
Speaker 1: three bites. She grabbed her backpack and her bright red
00:02:59
Speaker 1: lunch box with an ellowhant on it, and put one
00:03:01
Speaker 1: hand into Snuggles and the other into Huggles. Then the
00:03:06
Speaker 1: three of them headed off towards the alligator bus stopped together.
00:03:10
Speaker 1: Now that Cuddle had been going to the Kokobara Kindi
00:03:13
Speaker 1: for three whole weeks, their mother didn't always come in
00:03:16
Speaker 1: with them. It made Cuddle feel terribly grown up, although
00:03:21
Speaker 1: she was still glad to have her big brother on
00:03:24
Speaker 1: one side of her and her big sister on the other.
00:03:27
Speaker 1: The three of them waited for the alligator to appear,
00:03:31
Speaker 1: looking down the river for tailtale signs. Then there he was,
00:03:37
Speaker 1: his shining black cap coming towards them, and gentle flicks
00:03:41
Speaker 1: of his tail pushing him through the water. They all
00:03:45
Speaker 1: climbed aboard and Snuggle sat with her sister until the
00:03:49
Speaker 1: next stop, when Kevin the kangaroo hopped on board. He
00:03:53
Speaker 1: took Snuggles's place, and snuggle went back a few scales,
00:03:57
Speaker 1: and Kevin sat down with his bright blue lunch box,
00:04:00
Speaker 1: the elephant on it, sitting squarely on his knees. Good Ey, Cuddle,
00:04:05
Speaker 1: beautiful morning, he said, cheerfully. Kevin did everything cheerfully. He
00:04:11
Speaker 1: was that sort of kangaroo. Cuddle had even seen him
00:04:15
Speaker 1: fall out of a tree and just sort of bounce
00:04:18
Speaker 1: a bit and then come up smiling. Now damage, he declared,
00:04:22
Speaker 1: and climbed right back up the very same tree. He
00:04:26
Speaker 1: was Cuddle's first and best friend, and she nudged him
00:04:30
Speaker 1: with her elbow as they drifted along Sleepy River on
